Unemployment problem in Bangladesh

Unemployment problem in Bangladesh

Unemployment is a great concern in Bangladesh. Every year hundreds of thousands  of students are coming out from college and university. Though it is one of the major responsibilities of the government to provide job to those young generation but the government is failed to meet the job demand for the large population. Only a tiny fraction of total jobless is managed by different government offices and private organizations but a majority remain unemployed
Causes of unemployment:
Population growth: Bangladesh is a country of over population. There job facilities can not keep pace with the increasing number of people.
Lack of industrialization: Bangladesh is very backward in industries. They can absorb only a finger-counted number of people. Cottage industries have almost decayed.
Defective education system: Bangladesh education system is very defective. It has little provision for vocational training for a learner. It fails to give him an independent start of life.
False illusion: The students and youths have false sense of dignity to become officers. They madly run after the illusion of official jobs and remain unemployed.
Lack of skill: There is a serious want of skilled people in bangladesh. The inventory knowledge is fully absent in them. As a result, the unskilled people remain unemployed.
Lack of proper utilization of resource: The country has  not yet been able to make proper and best use of the huge hidden natural resource.
Due to unemployment conditions, there arises some problems in our country such as----1.financial losses of the unemployed workers, 2.burden on the tax payers, 3.national  economy suffers from lower out-put, 4.desperate people resort to crime to have basic necessities of life, etc
Solutions:
The first is to open more governmfinanent industries, large scale businesses where more people can be employed. The second is to make more people literate, so that they can get jobs and add a value to nation's income . The third is to attract foreign investors in our country to invest in trade & commerce, education & agriculture to meet up the  crisis of employment.

Unemployment problem is a great social evil  for bangladesh. It has given rise to various social crimes. An unemployed man falls in the grip of poverty and loses mental peace. Life becomes burden to him. He becomes a hungry man as well as an angry man. Then he gets involved in different anti-social activities. A proverb also goes, 'an idle brain is the devil's workshop'. This problem is getting more and more acute day by day. It is posing a great threat to the very existence of the nation.

STUDENTS & SOCIAL SERVICE

STUDENTS & SOCIAL SERVICE

Social service can be, and should be done by all, but students are especially useful for social service. Educationists, reformers and others want that students should be associated with social service to a greater degree than the common man. Several arguments are given in favor of social service by all categories of students. Several people have come out with their views, urging upon authorities to    make it compulsory for students to do social service..

There are several fields in which students can do social service to the community. They can impart education and increase literacy level of the nation. Students can with advantage, make trips to villages and stay there in order to make rural people literate. Besides it is expected of them to give a sense of civic duty, cleanliness, disciplined way of life etc. Students can be of real guidance to those who need light of knowledge. Opening information centers, managing mobile libraries, teaching rules of health and hygiene to everywhere are some of the important functions included in social service.

Like others, students have also their duties towards the society. Students are the future citizens of the country and have different roles to play. Though they should devote a greater part of their time in attending to their studies they should spend a portion of their time in the service of the people. It is needless to say that they get much time for merry making, playing, amusements, touring etc. apart from their routine life of study. Students should cultivate the spirit of service from the very formative stage.
Most of the time of a student is wasted in idle gossip, in roaming and in fruitless work. It is better to utilise the power of youth in socially productive work than to squander our precious time in loitering at the market place or before theatre hall.
If a student utilizes his time fruitfully and in socially useful work he gets contentment. Contentment is his satisfaction with his position. Students should remember that they are born for the improvement of the society by instilling the spirit of service in them. They can help the mankind in the best possible way.
If a student does not have the will or spirit to work he cannot succeed in life. We elevate our life style by doing well to the society. Social service is a voluntary work and one cannot be compelled to do a work. Social service fulfills two conditions. It helps one to utilise the leisure hours and the society gets benefited by it.
The value of social service should be taught to students to create inspiration in them. They should be enthused to pay their utmost strength and service to the society to make their existence meaningful.
Students should be taught how to serve the people of their country. They may teach reading, writing and arithmetic to the vast majority of illiterate Indians. They may render service to the members of the society in their time of need. They may relieve the suffering of the masses by nursing the sick.
Spreading education is no mean service. They can make the illiterate masses aware of their rights and duties. Once zeal is created amongst the students illiteracy may be wiped out. The Government cannot fulfill the ambitions of the vast mass of people.
Hence the students can guide the people in the right direction whether it is a question of digging canals or constructing educational institutions. Sympathy and fellow feeling should be imparted the students to do some noble works for the people.
People of our country are not aware of how to keep the atmosphere hygienic. People can be taught by students how to lead a life of cleanliness and how to keep their lives free from diseases.
Students can co-operate with people on matters of public interest such as education, sanitation, trade and commerce. Students can participate in cleaning drains, ponds during the leisure hours. They can help people during natural calamities such as earth quake, flood, drought, cyclone by collecting funds from different sources.
Students have a spirit to work but the guardians and, teacher should guide them in the right way. Social service can be safely managed if they can be guided properly. Our leaders should guide them in the right way.

Digital Bangladesh

                                                         Digital Bangladesh
The use of information and communication technology has been playing a vital role in the 21st century due to globalization and the government is encouraged to adapting with the coming future. Broadly speaking, a digital society ensures an ICT driven knowledge-based society where information will be readily available on line and where all possible tasks of the government, semi-government and also private spheres will be processed using the state of the art technology. So, a digital Bangladesh must guarantee efficient and effective use of modern ICT in all spheres of the society with a view to establishing good governance. In other word, making Bangladesh a digital one, we have to establish technology driven e-governance, e-commerce, e-production, e-agriculture, e-health etc. in the society emphasizing the overall development of the common people, the major stakeholders of the country.

Due to globalization, more specifically due to booming of ICT like most of the countries on the globe, Bangladesh has already been connected with the outside world. Yet in the field of ICT, our only grand success lies in Mobile telecommunication which has brought an abrupt change in telecommunication scenario of the country. However, in the other spheres of ICT, our achievement is very insignificant and we are still far away from transforming ourselves into a knowledge-based society.
The democratic government has declared the “Vision 2021” in the election manifesto which targets establishment of a resourceful and modern country by 2021 through effective use of information and communication technology-a "Digital Bangladesh".
“Digital Bangladesh” does not only mean the broad use of computers, perhaps it means the modern philosophy of effective and useful use of technology in terms of implementing the promises in education, health, job placement, poverty reduction etc. Therefore, the government underscores a changing attitude, positive thinking and innovative ideas for the success of “Digital Bangladesh”.
The philosophy of “Digital Bangladesh” comprises ensuring people’s democracy and rights, transparency, accountability, establishing justice and ensuring delivery of government services in each door through maximum use of technology-with the ultimate goal to improve the daily lifestyle of general people. Government’s “Digital Bangladesh” includes all classes of people and does not discriminate people in terms of technology. Hence, government have emphasized on the four elements of “Digital Bangladesh Vision” which are human resource development, people involvement, civil services and use of information technology in business.
